Core Values

Communication

A child can only be as successful as their team around them. At AHA Learning, we understand that you play an important role in your student's growth. We want to encourage open communication between you, your student, and any other person on their team who needs support, has questions, or is just involved with the continued growth of your student.

Flexible Learning

At AHA Learning Center, we believe learning should fit your schedule and your child’s needs. Our flexible learning options allow learners to engage in academics, enrichment, and social-emotional growth through drop-in days, individualized sessions, and special programs—so learning can happen anytime, in a way that works best for your family.

Child Centered

It's said that a student only retains approximately 80% of what they are taught in a school day if they get the information through all three components: 10% from what they hear, 20% of what they read, and 50 of what they see. However, continued trials have shown that by fully engaging a student, and allowing them to be involved in a way that is comfortable and exciting to them, they are likely to retain up to 90% of information they receive. This is why it is so important for students to be understood, engaged, and enjoying class lessons.

Data Driven Approach

Data plays a huge part in what we do. Data helps us determine why your student may be having harder days than normal or why they suddenly are struggling to remember math facts they've mastered weeks ago. It allows us to see the highs and lows of your student's week and tells us if we need to change our approach and a lot of the time, it even tells us how we should. Data is also beneficial to the rest of the team because it will visualize progress made which will allow you to see the growth or recognize areas where you student may need extra support.
